This was the final project for my first molding class. I chose to model my grandmother's opera glasses. Overall I was very please with the way they turned out, although I did have a bit of trouble making the glass behave the way it was supposed to.
This is one of the renderings I did in my Ani113 class. Painting has never been my strong suit, but I love the textures and colors that I worked into this painting.
This was a simple head turn test that I did for Ani118. I try to make all of my work tell a story, even if its something simple like this. This was one of the first times I had used this rig, with all its wonderful facial controls, and I loved working with it.
My name is Rachel Duchrow. I've been at SJSU for a bit longer than some animation students because I had a bit of trouble with the portfolio review, but I'm determined not to give up and ever semester I grow as an artist and as a person. I am very interested in 3D animation, and my dream job after graduation is to work for a VFX studio doing character animation. I have already taken both 129bs and 118 with Raquel Coelho, and I am currently enrolled in 115 with Dave Chai. As for science classes, I'm afraid I haven't taken one since freshman year chemistry for GE credit. However I am very excited to take this class and apply everything I learn to my animations.
